TED Talks — in class, 8/30

Today we watched two videos of lectures from TED.com. After the jump (click on “more,” below) I’ll include the notes that I gave students before watching the videos. After each of the two videos, I gave this prompt, due Tuesday:

What does Ken Robinson believe people need to be prepared for the world? What are his reasons? Why does he say this is needed for society? What does Mike Rowe believe people need to be prepared for the world? What are his reasons? Why does he say this is needed for society? Which argument do you find most persuasive? Why? (3-4 paragraphs, typed, 1-1/2 spaced)
